Marion Bout-Tapper
Marion was admitted to the bar in 2005. She worked for Van Doorne in Amsterdam for 3.5 years, during which period she worked half a year for Van Doorne in Curacao. As of 2008 she relocated her practice to a smaller and more specialized setting, first within intellectual property office Arnold + Siedsma and currently, as of 1 October, 2009 at Bingh Advocaten.
Marion graduated form the University of Maastricht in 2002 with a degree in Dutch Law, specializing in intellectual property law. In her thesis she addressed the conflicts between intellectual property law and the preference of an open European market, comparing the European legislation with the international legislation.
After her studies Marion lived in Italy for over half a year to explore the language and culture further, after which she was employed for a year by trademark agency Novagraaf in Amsterdam. Marion is a member of the European Communities Trademark Association.
During her studies Marion was very active for her sorority and within several committees. Marion speaks and writes English fluently and has knowledge of the Italian language. She speaks German to a lesser extent.
